About the position

The Horticulture Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients in the landscaping industry. This role involves overseeing the quality of landscape projects, managing crews, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term relationships and communicate regularly with clients.
• Inspect client properties to monitor performance and job quality.
• Ensure grounds maintenance is performed to established standards.
• Accurately estimate jobs and complete necessary paperwork daily.
• Diagnose diseases and pests on turf and landscape ornamentals.
• Consult with clients to determine the scope of work for estimating.
• Efficiently manage landscape crews for residential and some commercial work.
• Review payroll and hours daily/weekly and manage crew productivity.

Requirements

• Associate degree in horticulture or related field, or four years of landscaping experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in managing personnel.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Strong plant knowledge and ability to prepare attractive designs for clients.
• FNGLA or other industry certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
