Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual guidance and emotional support to patients, families, and staff in healthcare environments.
• Conduct regular visits to patients, offering prayer, counseling, and companionship.
• Lead bereavement support groups and facilitate discussions on grief and loss.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop holistic care plans that address spiritual needs.
• Engage in public speaking opportunities to educate staff and community members on spiritual care practices.
• Plan and coordinate events that promote spiritual wellness within the organization.
• Write reflective materials, such as devotionals or newsletters, to share insights on faith and healing.
• Respond promptly to crisis situations, providing comfort and support during critical moments.

Requirements

• Experience in hospice care or similar settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in public speaking and leading group discussions.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in providing spiritual care.
• Background in Christian counseling or theological education is required.
• Experience in crisis management with a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Ability to write clearly and effectively for various audiences.

Nice-to-haves
