About the position
The Hospice Community Liaison is responsible for fostering relationships between the hospice organization and the community, promoting services, engaging potential clients, and driving sales initiatives within a designated territory. This role requires strong sales skills, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Determine primary decision makers and build positive relationships with the medical community and partners.
- Promote and position hospice patient care services through regular visits, reflecting the quality of care and unique capabilities of the hospice.
- Build the hospice brand as the preferred provider in the service area to achieve growth and manage census effectively.
- Make regular calls to secure new referrals and meet established goals with referring physicians, facilities, case managers, and other healthcare providers.
- Conduct initial meetings with patients and families to provide an overview of hospice services and obtain consents for care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (additional experience may substitute for education).
- Minimum of two years of sales/marketing experience in healthcare required.
- Hospice/palliative marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Skilled at establishing and maintaining working relationships with key staff and healthcare professionals.
- Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts.
