About the position

The Community Liaison is responsible for leading business development activities to drive admissions and census within an assigned book of business. This role involves developing business plans, collaborating with various departments, and serving as the primary face of the company to referral sources. The Community Liaison will execute strategic marketing plans, maintain relationships with referral customers, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and regularly evaluate strategic marketing plans to meet admission and census goals.
  • Conduct strategic planning of assigned territory to identify opportunities for additional or improved services.
  • Learn and execute the company's consultative selling strategy to build sustainable relationships with targeted referral customers.
  • Participate in sales meetings for forecasting and strategic planning for assigned territory.
  • Maintain professional and clinical competence regarding hospice, palliative, and primary care eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor market positioning.
  • Negotiate service contracts and pricing with managed care organizations and other payers.
  • Exhibit compliance in utilizing the company's CRM program to manage accounts and contacts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate identity standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the admissions department and clinical personnel.
  • Maintain an organized approach to territory management.
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance and vehicle used for company business.
  • Responsible for all sales administration duties including expense reports and paperwork delivery.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record of monthly admissions, generating a minimum of 10 referrals per month.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Three years of experience in health care marketing, management, or hospice care operations preferred.
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Knowledge of the corporate business management process.
  • Proof of current automobile insurance and a valid driver's license.
  • Must have and maintain transportation for work.

  • Knowledge of community resources, documentation, and program management.
  • Understanding and utilization of a CRM.
