About the position

The Hospice Community Liaison/Marketer at Touching Hearts Hospice plays a vital role in promoting hospice services and generating patient referrals through relationship-building with healthcare providers. This position focuses on educating referral sources about hospice care, ensuring smooth transitions from referral to care, and enhancing community awareness of hospice services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote hospice services to potential referral sources.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with physicians, case managers, and other key referral partners.
  • Educate referral sources on hospice care options and benefits of early referrals.
  • Plan and execute community outreach events and networking opportunities.
  • Conduct regular visits to healthcare providers to foster relationships.
  • Provide in-service education and lunch-and-learn sessions to enhance understanding of hospice care.
  • Track and analyze referral trends and market activities.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth admission processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of referral activities in CRM or other tools.
  • Stay informed about hospice industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in healthcare marketing, business development, or sales, ideally within hospice or healthcare services.
  • Strong knowledge of the hospice industry and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable sales or referral goals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
