About the position

The Hospice Program Director will lead the hospice program, focusing on exceptional patient care, strategic growth, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong understanding of hospice operations and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to expand services, increase census, and enhance community partnerships.
• Provide oversight and guidance to interdisciplinary teams, ensuring excellent patient care and outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, accrediting bodies, and organizational policies.
• Recruit, train, and supervise hospice staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
• Monitor and improve patient satisfaction, quality metrics, and staff engagement.
• Oversee program finances, ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal sustainability.
• Build relationships with healthcare partners, physicians, and community organizations.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse - Oklahoma
• 3+ years of hospice experience, with 2+ years in leadership/management.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and Medicare guidelines.
• Proven track record of program growth, development, and quality improvement.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and community partners.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and hospice software.

Nice-to-haves

• CHPLN (Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator) or CHPN (Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse) certification.
• Familiarity with value-based care models and population health management.
