About the position

The Hospice Hospital Marketing and Physician Provider Relations Coordinator at Prairie Wind Hospice is responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare decision-makers to promote hospice services. This role involves generating business from hospitals and other referral sources, conducting educational presentations, and representing the agency in community events to raise awareness about hospice care.

Responsibilities

  • Generate business from hospitals and other referral sources to meet agency revenue and census goals.
  • Develop and implement programs to raise hospice awareness through personalized visitations and community events.
  • Identify, pursue, and close opportunities for formal or contractual relationships with physicians and organizations.
  • Coordinate with office staff to facilitate new business successfully up to the start of patient care.
  • Implement territory sales plan and ensure extraordinary customer service in alignment with Prairie Wind Hospice's mission.
  • Provide presentations on the Medicare Hospice Benefit to potential referral sources and patients/families.
  • Identify key referral sources and educate them on hospice services for terminally ill patients.
  • Conduct in-service presentations regarding hospice services and admission criteria.
  • Participate in community events sponsored by the company and represent the agency at business functions.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in hospice sales or medical sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create leads and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in creating marketing presentations and conducting public speaking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in hospice sales is preferred.
  • Documentation of prior sales/marketing experience is preferred.
  • Hospital/Physician sales experience is preferred.
