Hospice IPU PRN CNA Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal comfort needs at the unit.
• Observe the patient, report these observations, and document observations and care performed.
• Perform personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attend to his/her requests promptly.
• Meet safety needs of patient and use equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.).
• Give personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens as often as assigned.
• Report on patient's condition and significant changes, and be aware of the caregiver or other individuals visiting with the patient and interpersonal issues.
• Adhere to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.

Requirements

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Maintains a current CPR Certification.
• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients.
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise.
• Valid driver's license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements or reliable transportation preferred.
