About the position
The Hospice Marketing Liaison at Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care is responsible for facilitating patient admissions through marketing and educational activities with various healthcare providers and community resources. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with physicians, hospitals, and other referral sources to promote hospice services and the hospice philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Generate business by creating new and maintaining existing relationships with physicians and other medical professionals, community and senior organizations, hospitals, and other potential referral sources.
- Prepare and conduct calls and in-service presentations to potential referral sources.
- Participate in community and organizational programs to promote Ascend's services and the hospice philosophy.
- Promote an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients.
- Promote positive public relations with patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
- Serve as a resource both internally and externally, supporting the mission and vision of the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Experience in marketing, preferably in hospice or other healthcare environments (e.g., Home Health, Long Term Care, Pharmaceuticals).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to create own leads.
- Ability to maintain an organized approach to territory management and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel.
