About the position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Hospice of Marion County is responsible for providing essential physical care to patients in accordance with their care plans. This role involves assisting patients with daily activities, supporting their emotional needs, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The CNA works closely with other healthcare team members to deliver compassionate care and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical care to patients as per the care plan, including bathing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation and transfers.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties in the patient area, such as laundry, cleaning, and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist other Hospice team members in educating primary caregivers and families about physical care and emotional support for patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Florida State Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate required.
  • Six months of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification required.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and access to a reliable automobile.
