About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical care, case management, and symptom relief to hospice patients in South and Southeast Houston. This part-time, temporary, and travel nursing position involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans and supervising LPNs and CNAs to ensure high-quality patient care. The role requires a dedicated professional committed to enhancing the quality of life for patients facing end-of-life challenges while providing support to their families.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans based on their needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor and document patient progress and changes in condition.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with wound care, pain management, and symptom control.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and professional standards of practice.
• Attend in-service and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements

• Active RN Texas license.
• At least 1 year of Hospice experience preferred.
• BLS certification and TB proof are required.
• Familiarity with travel nursing practices for flexible work assignments.
• Strong skills in hospice clinical assessment and care plan intervention development.
