About the position

The Hospital Account Manager at Nestlé Health Science is responsible for driving sales performance and developing business strategies within key hospital accounts in the San Diego, CA territory. This role focuses on building relationships with healthcare providers, educating them on GI therapies, and executing marketing strategies to enhance patient care and transition processes. The position requires a deep understanding of GI disorders and the ability to communicate complex clinical information effectively to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Account development and planning through identification of individual account business models and processes.
  • Focus on driving growth among Hospital accounts, GI/Critical Care targets, and new accounts.
  • Meet/exceed sales and profit objectives in assigned accounts and territory.
  • Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of a novel GI therapy within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and assess hospital account protocols and create a concise, compliant, and persuasive selling process.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts and opinion leaders in the GI community.
  • Develop and implement a territory-specific business plan utilizing available resources for a successful sales environment.
  • Effectively convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders.
  • Execute a customer-centric needs-based selling approach with targeted Healthcare Providers and accounts.
  • Utilize sales reporting systems for call preparation and market intelligence data gathering.
  • Organize meetings and deliver content to healthcare professionals on GI and nutrition topics.
  • Conduct promotional programs for professional audiences and attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of GI disorders and related therapies.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in hospital settings.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic business plans.

  • Experience with contract negotiations in a healthcare setting.
