About the position

The Hospital Accountant position at MLee Healthcare is a full-time role based in a community hospital near Mansfield, Ohio. This position is fully on-site and involves a variety of accounting tasks aimed at supporting the hospital's financial operations. Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize financial and accounting transactions
• Prepare financial statements
• Provide support to Directors regarding budgets and financial reports
• Meet reporting deadlines
• Support month- and year-end close processes
• Prepare, verify, allocate, and post journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare requested reports
• Conduct data analysis
• Multi-task and quickly switch between tasks as required
• Adapt to different financial and reporting software

Requirements

• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to prepare financial statements and reports
• Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
• Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with healthcare financial regulations
• Familiarity with hospital accounting software
• Certification as a CPA or CMA
