About the position

The Hospital Business Manager for Vaccines Sales at Sanofi is responsible for driving sales performance and developing relationships within hospital accounts and integrated delivery networks. This role requires a dynamic self-starter who can engage healthcare professionals, educate them on clinical evidence, and support on-label prescribing. The position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities and executing strategic account plans to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain superior clinical expertise with our brand and disease state/conditions to effectively educate and engage hospital healthcare professionals (HCP).
  • Function independently to drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed expectations.
  • Identify key customer segments, channels, and opportunities regionally, evaluating and prioritizing business across different customer segments.
  • Support formulary approvals and implementation of protocols through strategic targeting plans.
  • Provide education to hospital HCPs about Sanofi products and available patient support programs.
  • Educate HCPs about RSV and its impact on patients within their hospital.
  • Develop expertise in account and market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, and patient pathways.
  • Collaborate with internal Sanofi stakeholders to engage with key institutions and HCPs.
  • Support and execute Strategic Account plans, providing account and patient-focused solutions.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities and present value propositions aligned to stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate across functional areas to drive outcomes that align with organizational objectives.
  • Complete continuous self-education and development, seeking feedback to improve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with 2 or more years in hospital selling
  • Cross-functional hospital and health system selling experience
  • Proven success engaging key stakeholders in complex clinical environments
  • Strong scientific acumen in a competitive environment
  • Documented track record for delivering top-tier sales results
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration with Sanofi teams
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Clinical expertise and hospital P&T experience
  • Understanding of payer and reimbursement processes
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated personal leadership and alignment with company values
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to travel within territory regularly, including overnight and weekend travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with 4 or more years in hospital selling
  • Existing hospital relationships within the market
  • Experience developing and executing account plans
  • Specific knowledge of vaccine sales and reimbursement
  • Hospital launch experience within the last 4 years
  • Knowledge of managed market dynamics in acute care and vaccine space.
