About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Mercy Hospital is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hospital. This position involves collaborating with the hospital's executive team to achieve financial goals, manage financial planning, and improve data-driven decision-making processes. The CFO will also monitor financial performance and guide expense management, budgeting, and capital planning efforts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the hospital executive team and lead the financial operations of the site.
• Oversee and manage financial planning, policies, procedures, and practices.
• Support the development and improvement of data-driven decision-making processes.
• Contribute to monitoring financial performance and conducting organization-wide performance improvement activities.
• Provide guidance on expense management, productivity, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and capital planning.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure coordination for major projects and system initiatives.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
• Hospital experience required.
