About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations of the hospital, ensuring financial stability and driving strategic financial planning. The role requires extensive experience in hospital/healthcare financial management, particularly in for-profit organizations with revenues exceeding $300 million.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the hospital's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and auditing.
  • Lead financial and operational turnaround initiatives to improve financial performance and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, investors, and financial institutions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Oversee the case management department, ensuring effective coordination and financial management.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and financial risks.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and executive team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field (preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CFO in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in a for-profit organization with revenues exceeding $300 million.
  • Experience in a Short Term Acute Care facility is a plus.
  • Proven track record of financial and operational turnaround experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership and other departments.
  • Experience with case management department oversight is a significant plus.
