About the position

The Hospital Collector position at Insight Global is a fully remote role focused on managing the reimbursement of claims from various insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hospital collections, particularly with California hospitals, and will be responsible for ensuring prompt and accurate reimbursement by understanding managed care contracts and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reimbursement of claims from various insurance companies.
• Ensure prompt and accurate reimbursement by understanding managed care contracts.
• Handle high-dollar commercial managed care collections with a production of 40+ claims per day.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Epic for tracking and managing collections.
• Maintain strong knowledge of current regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in hospital collections, preferably with California hospitals.
• Strong knowledge of contracts and ability to read and understand each contract.
• Experience with high-dollar commercial managed care collections.
• 3 years of experience with Epic software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with third-party collections for California hospitals.
• Technical savvy with strong wifi at home.
