About the position

The Hospital Controller at BridgePoint plays a crucial role in managing the fiscal services department, supporting the Market CFO and Hospital CEO. This position is responsible for overseeing financial policies, accounting practices, and internal controls, ensuring the hospital's financial health and compliance with regulations. The Controller will prepare financial reports, coordinate budgeting and reimbursement functions, and maintain accurate financial records to support patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Market CFO and Hospital CEO in managing the fiscal services department.
• Develop, interpret, coordinate, and administer hospital financial policies.
• Maintain departmental reports and records, collecting statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes.
• Coordinate functions of reimbursements, budget, patient accounting, medical records, admissions, and general accounting.
• Prepare reports outlining the hospital's financial position in all areas of assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Prior leadership experience in financial management.
• Experience in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and managing an accounts payable department.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with capital budgeting, fixed asset management, treasury management, and tax compliance.
