About the position
The Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency program is a leadership role focused on educating and preparing community-based physicians to serve rural populations. This position combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a significant emphasis on preceptorship and resident supervision, while also providing outpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer the Family Medicine Residency program.
- Provide outpatient care one day per week.
- Conduct hospital rotations one week per month, supervising inpatient Family Medicine service.
- Engage in joint injections, dermatology procedures, and OMT as needed.
- Lead and mentor residents in a patient-centered environment.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Family Medicine.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Comfortable with joint injections, dermatology procedures, and OMT.
- Strong leadership skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in residency program administration.
- Familiarity with rural healthcare challenges.
