The responsibilities of the Housekeeper include high dusting, cleaning furniture, doors, walls, and maintaining bathrooms in acceptable conditions. They are also tasked with ensuring that all trash receptacles are cleaned regularly and that all dispensers are refilled as needed. The Housekeeper must inspect their own work to ensure it is completed to the required standards and report any discrepancies to the supervisor. Additionally, they are responsible for the safe handling and disposal of medical waste and sharps, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The role requires the ability to anticipate patient discharges to effectively manage room availability and turnaround times, contributing to the overall efficiency of the hospital's operations.
