About the position

A large healthcare system is seeking an IT Project Manager to join their team for a system-wide divestiture. This role is critical as it involves overseeing the technology migration for a network of 28+ hospitals, each with 200-250 beds. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the migration to a new system is executed smoothly, with minimal disruption to patient care. This position requires a highly organized individual who can effectively collaborate with various technical stakeholders across the organization. The IT Project Manager will need to investigate and analyze the current technology landscape, particularly focusing on patient data management. Fundamental project planning and management experience is essential for the success of this role. The individual will be tasked with creating a comprehensive migration plan that ensures all current technology, patient data, and databases are properly transitioned to the new system by the end of 2025. This includes developing strategies to maintain operational continuity and limit the impact on patients during the data migration process. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders are necessary for this position. The IT Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating efforts across various departments and ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with the overall goals of the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technology migration for a network of 28+ hospitals during a system-wide divestiture.
• Investigate and analyze the current technology landscape, focusing on patient data management.
• Create a comprehensive migration plan to transition all current technology and patient data to the new system by the end of 2025.
• Develop strategies to maintain operational continuity and limit the impact on patients during the data migration process.
• Collaborate with various technical stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
• Execute against a project timeline from planning through migration and integration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
• Experience supporting a hospital merger, acquisition, or divestiture as a project manager.
• Demonstrated experience understanding and surveying the technology of multiple hospital systems, including software systems and patient data.
• Experience migrating to and from various EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, or similar.
• Strong understanding of third-party applications and clinical data conversion.
• Proven ability to create a data governance migration plan.
• Ability to create and execute against a project timeline from planning, migration, and integration.
• Strong communication and excellent cross-collaboration skills across multiple IT stakeholders.
