About the position

Sinai Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hospital Operations Coordinator on a PRN basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of hospital units and services, particularly in the absence of Hospital Administration and other leadership team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities related to overall hospital operations and throughput, serving as a vital liaison to all hospital departments and staff. This position reflects the mission, vision, and philosophy of Sinai Hospital, which is committed to providing the best medical and emotional care for our residents and patients. As the largest community hospital in Maryland, Sinai Hospital boasts 483 licensed beds and offers training for over 40 residents and 400 medical students each year. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare and ensuring that all patients receive the best possible service. The Hospital Operations Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining this standard by overseeing various operational aspects and ensuring that all departments work collaboratively to meet the needs of our patients and their families. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Hospital Operations Coordinator will also be involved in quality assurance initiatives, helping to implement best practices and improve patient care outcomes. This position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders within the hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities related to overall hospital operations and throughput in the absence of Hospital Administration and leadership team members.
  • Serve as a liaison to all hospital departments and staff to ensure quality service to all customers.
  • Oversee operational aspects of hospital units and services to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement quality assurance initiatives and best practices to improve patient care outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders within the hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from CCNE accredited schools.
  • 2 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience, including Critical Care or Emergency Care.
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.
  • ACLS Certification.
  • Trauma ITR within one year of hire.
