About the position

This position provides clerical, data and financial management, and operational coordination for the department at Mercy. The role requires exceptional organizational, customer service, and communication skills, along with the ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality in operational details.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical support and operational coordination for the department.
  • Manage data and financial records efficiently.
  • Utilize exceptional organizational skills to prioritize work assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and follow instructions accurately.
  • Perform calculations and manage suppliers and contractors effectively.
  • Ensure high-quality completion of work assignments at the lowest cost to Mercy.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an office manager or department assistant.
  • High School diploma plus specialized training (minimum 6 months).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Numerical ability for calculations and data management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with database management.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 or more years of formal training in data management, accounting, purchasing, or office management.
  • Valid Drivers License for all Mercy locations.
