About the position

The Hospital Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations within the hospital, particularly in the absence of the Operations Manager - Hospital. This position is responsible for ensuring that all operational metrics outlined in the contracted agreement are met, while also contributing to the team-building efforts of the ASSET360 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs). The coordinator will collaborate with the HQC to guarantee that all equipment is functioning optimally and will assist in managing the flow of equipment by reallocating resources as necessary. Maintaining an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies is essential to support an effective Asset Management Program. In addition to operational oversight, the Hospital Operations Coordinator will address nursing staff concerns and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing appropriate actions in a professional manner. A solid understanding of the existing contract between the company and the customer is required, as the coordinator will facilitate this document's execution. The role also involves supervising HST personnel, which includes training, conducting performance reviews, and engaging in corrective action plans when necessary. The coordinator will help establish reporting requirements and guide the career development of staff, ensuring that staffing schedules align with equipment volume and fostering a cooperative environment across shifts. The coordinator is tasked with creating a dedicated and harmonious working environment that prioritizes staff retention. This includes facilitating the HST training manual for employees and providing ongoing supervision of HST personnel in their daily operations. Coaching staff in problem-solving, effective communication, and conflict resolution is also a key responsibility. The coordinator will work closely with the Operations Manager - Hospital to develop career path opportunities for all FTEs and provide leadership in training and education regarding ASSET360 policies and best practices. Daily tasks may include patient rounds, equipment deliveries, and cleaning processes, along with any other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations within the hospital in the absence of the Operations Manager - Hospital.
  • Ensure delivery on established metrics within the contracted agreement.
  • Assist in team building of ASSET360 FTEs.
  • Work with HQC to ensure equipment is functioning at the highest standards.
  • Manage equipment flow and allocate resources effectively.
  • Maintain necessary inventory of equipment and supplies for Asset Management Program.
  • Investigate nursing staff concerns and implement improvement actions.
  • Supervise HST personnel, including training and performance reviews.
  • Establish and administer reporting requirements for staff.
  • Manage staffing schedules based on equipment volume.
  • Foster cooperation among various shifts to ensure a positive team approach.
  • Deliver a dedicated and harmonious working environment focused on staff retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical or Management experience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain high-level communication with all parties involved.
  • Understanding of the technical and financial aspects of business.
  • Experience leading a diversified team towards unified goals.
