About the position

The Patient Relations Specialist at BridgePoint Healthcare acts as a liaison for patients and their representatives, ensuring adherence to patients' rights regarding complaints and grievances. This role involves overseeing the patient satisfaction survey process, responding to compliance reports related to patient care, and reporting data to relevant committees. The specialist is expected to exemplify exceptional customer service and support the overall mission of BridgePoint Healthcare in promoting healing and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison for patients and/or patient representatives.
  • Ensure adherence to patients' rights related to complaints and grievances.
  • Oversee the patient satisfaction survey process and report results as directed.
  • Review and respond to corporate compliance reports related to patient care complaints.
  • Report all related data to appropriate hospital committees or administrative teams as requested.
  • Act as a role model for high levels of customer service to patient relations staff and others.

Requirements

  • Associates degree ideally in Healthcare, Hospitality, Marketing, Communication, or Business Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Up to 1 year of technical or specialized training may be required.
  • Approximately 1-2 years of progressively responsible job-related experience, including supervisory experience, conflict management/resolution, or high-level hospitality service preferred.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and highly developed interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and empathy.
  • Proficiency in computer use and excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in family services or high-level hospitality service.
