About the position

The Hospital & Patient Services Manager is responsible for promoting clinic services to patients and external customers, facilitating admissions, and ensuring a superior experience for patients. This role involves building relationships with referral sources, conducting outreach, and collaborating with hospital staff to streamline the admission process for dialysis services. The manager will also engage in community outreach and marketing efforts to enhance patient census and treatment volume while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promote clinic services to patients and external customers, including hospital discharge planners and referring physicians.
  • Facilitate admissions and ensure a superior admission experience for each patient.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources to enhance the referral base.
  • Conduct outreach to hospitals and physician offices to facilitate timely admissions for dialysis services.
  • Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to gather necessary information for outpatient placement.
  • Escalate admissions issues according to established procedures for timely resolution.
  • Work with clinical managers to accommodate patient shift requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurers and private pay business to assist patients and families with understanding payer benefits.
  • Conduct market analysis and develop effective marketing plans to increase patient admissions.
  • Participate in community outreach programs as determined by the marketing plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2-5 years of related experience or a Master's degree with no experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships with peers and management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
