About the position

The position focuses on promoting clinic services and facilitating patient admissions within a designated market. The role involves building relationships with referral sources, ensuring a superior admission experience for patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to streamline the admissions process. The individual will also engage in marketing efforts to enhance patient census and treatment volume while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promote clinic services to patients and external customers, including hospital discharge planners and referring physicians.
  • Facilitate admissions by working with Patient Admissions Services (PAS) staff to ensure a superior experience for each patient.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources to enhance the referral base.
  • Conduct one-on-one contacts with patients identified for admission to market services and facilitate the admission process.
  • Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to gather necessary information for outpatient placement.
  • Escalate admissions issues according to established procedures for timely resolution.
  • Work with clinical managers to accommodate patient shift requests as appropriate.
  • Ensure patients and families understand their payer benefits and options.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the dialysis business and community support services.
  • Conduct market analysis and implement effective marketing plans to meet sales objectives.
  • Participate in community outreach programs as determined by the marketing plan.
  • Assess referral source satisfaction with the admissions process and dialysis services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2 - 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree with no experience, or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships and communicate effectively with peers and management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
