About the position

The Hospital Services Manager at LiveOnNY plays a crucial role in enhancing organ and tissue donation rates across New York. This position involves overseeing compliance with regulatory standards, utilizing data analytics for reporting, and collaborating with various departments to improve processes and training within the organization. The manager will also participate in strategic program development and represent the organization in multi-disciplinary meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain fluency in current regulatory standards including UNOS and Joint Commission Standards.
  • Utilize regulatory standards to guide HS staff in organ and tissue donation activities.
  • Monitor variances and organ/tissue metrics, identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
  • Utilize data analytics systems (Azure, Power BI) to generate reports for the HS team and hospital meetings.
  • Participate in cross-departmental collaboration to ensure accuracy of HS reports and data.
  • Collaborate with HS Leadership on cross-departmental projects.
  • Prepare and present data at multi-disciplinary hospital quality meetings.
  • Coordinate the strategic development and implementation of programs to raise organ and tissue donation rates.
  • Participate in HS leadership team meetings relevant to operations and inter-departmental coordination.
  • Design and deliver new hire departmental training and provide field precepting.
  • Submit abstract proposals for national conferences and assign presenters as needed.
  • Assist in Hospital Services management, development, and compliance.
  • Support special project management and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health-related, marketing, communications, or administration from a four-year college or university.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Two to three years of experience with organ/tissue donation.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with computer software.
  • Understanding of adult learning styles and curriculum development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Azure and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare settings.
