About the position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Hospital Supply Chain Manager. This position is crucial for the effective management of a large supply operation within the hospital, which includes centralized ordering, receiving, storing, processing, packing, and issuing a diverse range of healthcare supplies and equipment. The Hospital Supply Chain Manager will oversee these activities, ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently, which is vital for the hospital's overall functionality and patient care. In this role, the manager will be responsible for directing and controlling various operations related to contracting, procurement, warehousing, and delivery functions of equipment, materials, and services. The position requires strong leadership skills, as the manager will supervise a team and coordinate their efforts to maintain an effective supply chain. The Hospital Supply Chain Manager will also be involved in strategic planning and decision-making processes to enhance the efficiency of supply operations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. ARMC is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit teaching hospital located in Colton, California, and is affiliated with the California University of Science and Medicine. The hospital serves a diverse community and is equipped with advanced facilities, including a regional burn center and a level I trauma center. The Hospital Supply Chain Manager will play a key role in supporting the hospital's mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to the community.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the activities of a large supply operation including centralized ordering, receiving, storing, processing, packing, and issuing of healthcare supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee the contracting, procurement, warehousing, and delivery functions of equipment, materials, and services.
  • Supervise and manage a team of supply chain staff, ensuring effective coordination and performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of supply chain operations.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in all supply chain activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet the supply needs of the hospital and its various services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Purchasing, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in planning, organizing, and directing the activities of a large operation, including centralized ordering and supply management.
  • At least 18 months of supervisory experience in a relevant field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration is highly desired.
  • Progressive healthcare supply chain experience in a large acute care hospital is preferred.
