About the position

The position involves conducting patient assessments to identify suitable candidates for admission into ScionHealth's specialty hospitals. The role requires daily travel within the Orlando/Osceola County area to manage referrals and admissions, maintain relationships with referral sources, and implement marketing strategies. The individual will act as a liaison between patients, decision-makers, and the hospitals, ensuring effective communication and education about the services offered.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments to identify appropriate patients for potential admission.
  • Follow up daily with patients and their decision-makers for consistent clinical reassessment.
  • Manage referrals and admissions generated through assigned hospitals and territories.
  • Represent ScionHealth and maintain positive relationships with accounts in the territory.
  • Design and manage marketing strategies for assigned accounts.
  • Identify and contact new referral sources to grow the territory.
  • Conduct in-person educational meetings with referral sources using educational materials.
  • Coordinate transmission of clinical and benefit information between patients, decision-makers, and referral sources.
  • Generate leads through prospecting methods and personal/business contacts.
  • Meet monthly goals for assigned hospitals and expand the number of referral sources.
  • Maintain current referral sources through relationship development.
  • Manage the admissions process as an ambassador for eligible patients.
  • Plan travel and monitor expenses to operate within budgeted parameters.
  • Conduct assessments in accordance with company standards.
  • Educate patients and families on the benefits of ScionHealth Hospitals.
  • Complete annual health, safety, and education requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, communication, healthcare administration, nursing, or related field.
  • Extensive healthcare sales work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum two years of former healthcare sales experience or clinical healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Formal sales training preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers related to LTACH benefits.
  • Demonstrated competence in strategic business planning and marketing initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Clinical license preferred; Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), Respiratory Therapist (RT).
