About the position

The Hospital Wide Nursing Supervisor Per Diem is responsible for overseeing nursing operations across the hospital, ensuring quality patient care, managing human resources, and implementing financial and performance improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide implementation of Finance and Performance Improvement Initiatives.
• Manage daily Human Resources for specific areas of responsibility.
• Demonstrate understanding of optimal standards in healthcare and translate hospital goals into operational practice.
• Collaborate with department director to set realistic long- and short-term goals.
• Participate in the development of processes to measure quality of service and assist in data collection.
• Promote staff awareness regarding budget processes and cost-saving techniques.
• Make recommendations for capital expenditures and staff mix based on projected volumes.
• Demonstrate appropriate utilization of staff resources and monitor supply usage.
• Serve as a professional role model and resource for staff.
• Participate in assigned committees and support hospital functions through community outreach.

Requirements

• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 3-5 years of successful nursing experience required.
• Previous experience in supervision or patient flow process preferred.
• Excellent collaborative skills with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of patient care resources within the organization.
