The Nocturnist-NP/PA position is a locum tenens role focused on providing clinical care during night shifts in an inpatient setting. The role involves managing patient admissions, rounding, and collaborating with support staff to ensure quality patient care. This position is essential for maintaining adequate coverage in the facility, particularly during the specified coverage period.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care during night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Manage patient admissions, typically 1-2 per night.
- Conduct rounding on patients in the department.
- Collaborate with support staff including RNs, MAs, and other NP/PAs.
- Utilize EMR system (Medhost) for patient documentation.
Requirements
- Active Texas License
- Board Certified (BC)
- ACLS certification
- ABLS certification
- BLS certification
