About the position

The Hospitalist Physician position involves providing internal medicine care at the VAMC in Biloxi, MS. The role requires working 12-hour shifts primarily during the night, with some day shifts as needed. The position offers competitive pay and includes housing and transportation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients in a hospital setting.
• Work 12-hour shifts, primarily from 8 PM to 8 AM, with occasional day shifts.
• Participate in orientation and training sessions before starting the role.
• Demonstrate intubation skills in the operating room as required.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Mississippi.
• DEA, ACLS, and BLS certifications required.
• Ability to work a minimum of 7 shifts per month.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a hospitalist role or internal medicine practice.
• Familiarity with VAMC protocols and procedures.
