About the position
The Hospitality Aide at Sunrise Post Acute plays a crucial role in providing support to residents in a healthcare setting. This position involves assisting with daily activities, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, and ensuring the comfort and safety of residents. The aide will work closely with nursing staff to report any changes in residents' conditions and assist with various tasks to enhance the residents' quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Report to the charge nurse all accidents/incidents observed during the shift.
- Assist with errands for residents and staff.
- Perform secretarial tasks at the nursing station as requested.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of resident rooms and common areas.
- Transport residents to and from meals, activities, and outdoors.
- Provide reality orientations to residents as instructed.
- Pass snacks and trays to residents, ensuring proper identification before serving meals.
- Keep residents' water pitchers clean and filled with fresh water.
- Assist residents with packing personal possessions when being transferred or discharged.
- Report any changes in residents' conditions to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of an 8th grade education.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite products.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

- Experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting is preferred.
