About the position

The Hospitality and Events Support position is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service to clients, ensuring the smooth delivery of conference and function services. This role involves setting up and breaking down conference rooms, maintaining cleanliness standards, and assisting with general office maintenance and clerical tasks. The position requires excellent client service and coordination skills, as well as the ability to train team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent and professional client service at all times
• Lead in coordinating meeting rooms and events
• Train team members on responsibilities and tasks associated with the position
• Set up and break down conference rooms, including tables, chairs, and podiums
• Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages
• Follow hygienic food and beverage handling procedures
• Provide general assistance in cleaning kitchen and function areas
• Manage conference/hospitality calendar and greet clients and guests
• Perform conference room sweeps and maintain cleanliness
• Set up and assemble flip charts, whiteboards, and cork boards
• Prepare food for client meetings, parties, and company events
• Maintain and clean kitchen equipment and supplies
• Order and track inventory for kitchens and conference rooms
• Perform general clerical, copy center, mail, and delivery duties
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of related hospitality and office experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage may be required
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and organization skills
• Basic computer and office equipment skills
• Ability to meet/exceed customer expectations
• Ability to follow directions
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ability to work as a team or individually
