About the position

As a Hospitality Cashier at Fast N Friendly - Dairy Queen, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include communicating clearly and politely with co-workers to ensure that orders are served correctly and promptly. You will greet guests as they enter the restaurant or drive-thru, initiating and completing customer transactions quickly and accurately. Maintaining an accurate cash drawer throughout your shift is essential, as is assembling and delivering orders to customers efficiently. In addition to customer service, you will be responsible for keeping your work area clean and sanitary, preparing products while adhering to health and safety standards, and operating food and drink-related equipment safely. You will also assist with stocking and executing proper rotation of products, as well as performing end-of-day cleaning tasks. Working as part of a team, you will help ensure consistent quality, service, cleanliness, and value for each customer. Your role will also involve answering customer questions about product ingredients and preparation, suggesting items to complement their orders, and maintaining a positive working relationship with all restaurant employees and customers. You will be expected to communicate any significant issues to management promptly and perform other duties as requested by management staff or shift leaders. This position requires a commitment to guest satisfaction and adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly, quickly, and politely with co-workers to ensure correct orders are served to customers.
• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant or drive-thru.
• Initiate and complete customer transactions quickly and accurately through the drive-thru.
• Process customer transactions and maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift.
• Assemble and deliver orders to customers quickly and efficiently.
• Keep the entire work area clean and sanitary throughout the shift.
• Prepare products quickly and accurately, following all preparation, health, and safety standards and guidelines.
• Operate and maintain food/drink/treat related equipment and registers properly and safely.
• Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of work area.
• Stock and execute proper rotation of products.
• Assist with end-of-day cleaning.
• Work as a team member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness, and value to each customer.
• Wash counters, tables, restrooms, and trash receptacles; gather trash and remove it from dining/service areas to proper receptacles; sweep, mop, stock, and perform other cleaning tasks.
• Inform immediate supervisor promptly of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management staff or shift leaders.

Requirements

• Experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment.
