The primary responsibility of the cashier is to communicate clearly and politely with co-workers and customers to ensure that orders are served correctly and efficiently. Cashiers are expected to greet guests as they enter the restaurant or drive-thru, creating a welcoming atmosphere. They will initiate and complete customer transactions quickly and accurately, maintaining an accurate cash drawer throughout their shift. This role requires a pleasant demeanor and an alertness to customer needs, ensuring that every guest feels valued and attended to. In addition to handling transactions, cashiers are responsible for assembling and delivering orders to customers promptly. They must keep their work area clean and sanitary, adhering to health and safety standards. This includes preparing products accurately and operating food and drink-related equipment safely. Cashiers will also assist with stocking and executing proper rotation of products, as well as performing end-of-day cleaning tasks. Teamwork is essential in this role, as cashiers work alongside other staff members to ensure consistent quality, service, cleanliness, and value for each customer. The position may require occasional tasks outside the building, such as trash removal and maintenance activities. Cashiers are expected to inform their immediate supervisor of any significant issues and to perform other duties as requested by management or shift leaders. Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly, quickly, and politely with co-workers to ensure correct orders are served to customers.
• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant or drive-thru.
• Initiate and complete customer transactions quickly and accurately through the drive-thru.
• Process customer transactions and maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift.
• Assemble and deliver orders to customers quickly and efficiently.
• Keep the entire work area clean and sanitary throughout the shift.
• Prepare products quickly and accurately, following all preparation, health, and safety standards and guidelines when needed.
• Operate and maintain food/drink/treat related equipment and registers properly and safely.
• Complete assigned prep work for stocking and setup of the work area.
• Stock and execute proper rotation of products.
• Assist with end-of-day cleaning.
• Work as a team member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness, and value to each customer.
• Wash counters, tables, restrooms, and trash receptacles; gather trash and remove it from dining/service areas to proper receptacles; sweep, mop, stock, and perform other cleaning tasks.
• Occasionally be out of the building for parking lot pick-up, trash removal, and other maintenance and cleaning activities.
• Inform immediate supervisor promptly of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management staff or shift leaders.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food service industry.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
