About the position

The Hospitality Desk Manager at New Mexico Sports & Wellness is responsible for overseeing the hospitality desk operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing the hiring and training of staff. This role is crucial in maintaining a positive environment for members and staff alike, contributing to the overall success of the fitness club.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the hiring and training of hospitality desk staff.
  • Ensure smooth operations at the hospitality desk.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members.
  • Resolve difficult member issues effectively.
  • Perform Manager on Duty tasks as needed.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in the fitness, spa, hotel, or hospitality industry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED).
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Windows, and Point of Sale software.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organization skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including opening, daytime, and evening shifts.
