About the position

The Hospitality Event Staff/Bartender position at Boulevard Brewing Company is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional service during events. This position involves working closely with the Hospitality team to ensure that all aspects of the event are executed with attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Staff will be responsible for setting up bars, serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Have a positive attitude behind the bar and be approachable to guests.
  • Arrive in the proper uniform and be presentable.
  • Punctually arrive at the brewery for scheduled shifts.
  • Execute the proper setup of each bar for the appropriate event space.
  • Consult with hosts about event details and setup.
  • Efficiently serve beer, wine, soda, and water from the bar.
  • Clear event space of used bar glassware, food plates, and other items.
  • Communicate and work well with team members behind the bar and in the event space.
  • Accurately communicate the Zero-Landfill policy to vendors and hosts.
  • Learn the Audio/Visual system and troubleshoot during events.
  • Multi-task during events and proactively address needs.
  • Change and move half barrel and sixth barrel kegs during events.
  • Execute tasks assigned by the manager or director of Hospitality.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older to serve alcohol.
  • Complete and pass the ServSafe Examination online.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to invest in learning the core Boulevard beer brands and the history of the brewery.
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to providing world-class service at each event.
