About the position

The Seasonal Hospitality General Staff Team Member at Homestead-Miami Speedway will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience during race events. This position is part of the Event Experience team, which is dedicated to ensuring that all guests have a memorable and enjoyable time at the Speedway. The General Hospitality position involves a variety of responsibilities, including greeting guests as they arrive, checking admissions, and providing answers to any questions guests may have regarding the various hospitality locations on race day. The ideal candidate will be friendly, outgoing, and possess a positive attitude, as they will be the face of the Speedway during events. This role requires individuals who are willing to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a strong work ethic. Team members must be prepared to work extended hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, as dictated by the event schedule. The position may also require working in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the event. Punctuality and dependability are essential, as is the ability to stand for long periods, walk significant distances, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. Candidates must be available to work during the race weekend of October 26-27, and some positions may require working for an hour past the checkered flag. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival at hospitality locations.
  • Check admissions and ensure guests have the appropriate access.
  • Answer questions from guests regarding the event and hospitality services.
  • Work collaboratively with the Event Experience team to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and prioritize the guest experience.
  • Assist in managing the flow of guests in hospitality areas during events.
  • Be flexible to work extended hours, including early mornings and late nights.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to take direction and follow through with assigned responsibilities.
  • Must be able to attend and participate in all pre-event training sessions and all assigned event days.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours due to business requirements, including weekends.
  • Punctual and dependable with the ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
