About the position

The Hospitality Expert position at Ben & Jerry's is designed for full-time shift managers who lead shifts with a focus on personal and professional development. This role is integral to our mission of providing world-class customer service while promoting equity and community engagement. As a Hospitality Expert, you will embody the spirit of our founder Jerry Greenfield's motto, "If It's Not Fun, Why Do It?" Your responsibilities will include leading shifts both in-store and at events, ensuring that every customer interaction reflects our commitment to peace, love, and ice cream. You will be expected to maintain a positive and energetic atmosphere, fostering a culture of solution orientation rather than problem orientation. In this role, you will be accountable for coaching and leading your team, setting clear expectations, and providing real-time feedback. You will also engage with the local community, driving operational excellence through hands-on involvement with your team. The position requires a full-time presence with open availability, and you will report directly to a Business Operations Manager, General Manager, or Operator Apprentice. Your training will focus on both in-store and out-of-store operations, emphasizing leadership, management, and accountability. As a Hospitality Expert, you will play a crucial role in shaping the customer experience and ensuring that our shops and events deliver the highest standards of service. You will be a key player in our vision to grow opportunities for marginalized communities across the Southeastern United States, all while having fun and making a positive impact in the lives of our customers and team members.

Responsibilities

Requirements
