As a Hospitality/Front of House Manager in Training (MIT), you will embark on a journey to prepare for a potential leadership role within the hospitality team. This position involves learning best practices across various operational areas, including marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss management. You will participate in the Accelerated Manager Program (AMP), which combines assessment, organizational training, and one-on-one coaching to develop future leaders. The program is designed to be completed in 12 weeks or more, depending on individual learning needs and business goals. Upon successful completion of AMP, you may be required to relocate within your assigned region for placement opportunities, which are based on performance and business needs. The MIT role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional service to guests while fostering strategic partnerships with clients. Responsibilities

  • Gain preparation for a potential future role within the hospitality team leadership.
  • Learn best practices in areas such as marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss management.
  • Complete on-site, hands-on learning as part of the onboarding and training experience.
  • Participate in Compass Group's Accelerated Manager Program (AMP).
  • Engage in competency-based assessments to identify leadership strengths and development opportunities.
  • Follow a custom-built, personalized learning path with experiential learning and simulations.
  • Receive one-on-one peer support and mentorship during the training process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree received by August 2025 or prior (required).
  • One year of customer service or hospitality work/internship experience (preferred).
  • Willingness to relocate for the right role or advancement opportunity.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including profit and loss management, inventory, and cash handling skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with peers, employees, clients, and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations.
  • Basic knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and marketing.
  • Competency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Driver's License (preferred, but may be required for certain roles).
