About the position

FLIK Hospitality Group is seeking candidates for the position of Hospitality/Front of House Manager in Training (MIT). This role is designed for individuals who are eager to embark on a career in hospitality management. As a Manager in Training, you will receive targeted training that prepares you for an entry-level management role within the organization. The training will encompass FLIK's best practices in various areas including marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain management, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss management. The training program includes hands-on experience at a designated location and participation in Compass Group's Accelerated Manager Program (AMP). This program is a unique combination of assessment, organizational training, and one-on-one coaching aimed at developing future leaders in the hospitality sector. The AMP provides new and aspiring managers with a fast-track learning opportunity focusing on management development, which can be completed in 12 weeks or more, depending on individual learning needs and goals. Upon successful completion of the AMP, you may be placed in full-time management roles such as Café Manager, Catering Manager, Conference Coordinator, or Meeting & Event Planner, depending on performance and business needs. Responsibilities

  • Receive targeted training for an entry-level management role.
  • Learn and apply best practices in marketing, customer service, and retail.
  • Participate in Compass Group's Accelerated Manager Program (AMP).
  • Gain hands-on experience at a designated location.
  • Complete training in areas such as purchasing, supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss management.
  • Prepare for potential roles such as Café Manager, Catering Manager, or Conference Coordinator upon completion of training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required by August 2025 or earlier.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality within restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or similar food service operations required.
  • Basic knowledge of profit and loss management, inventory control, and cash handling.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with peers, employees, clients, and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations.
  • Up-to-date on food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and marketing.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications.
  • Open to relocation for the right role or advancement opportunity.
  • Driver's License preferred but may be required for certain roles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within hospitality or food service.
  • Knowledge of advanced food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Familiarity with event planning and management.
