About the position

As a Hospitality/Front of House Manager in Training (MIT) at FLIK Hospitality Group, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to prepare you for an entry-level management role within the hospitality sector. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about food and hospitality, as it emphasizes hands-on training and the application of best practices in various operational areas. You will gain valuable experience in marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain management, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss management. The training will take place at a designated location, and you will also participate in Compass Group's Accelerated Manager Program (AMP). Successful completion of AMP may require relocation within your region for placement opportunities, and full-time management placement or promotion upon completion will depend on your performance and the business's needs. The AMP is a unique program that combines assessment, organizational training, and one-on-one coaching to develop future leaders in the hospitality industry. It focuses on management development through a personalized approach, allowing you to customize your learning based on your strengths, skills, and interests. The program can be completed in 12 weeks or more, depending on your learning pace and the specific goals of your sector. Participants will benefit from competency-based assessments, personalized learning paths, experiential learning opportunities, and mentorship from peers. Upon successful completion of the training and AMP, you may be prepared for various roles within the organization, including Café Manager, Catering Manager, Conference Coordinator, and Meeting & Event Planner. Responsibilities

  • Receive targeted training for an entry-level management role in hospitality.
  • Learn and apply best practices in marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss management.
  • Participate in Compass Group's Accelerated Manager Program (AMP).
  • Gain hands-on experience at a designated location.
  • Complete AMP to qualify for full-time management placement or promotion based on performance and business needs.
  • Prepare for potential roles such as Café Manager, Catering Manager, Conference Coordinator, and Meeting & Event Planner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required by August 2025 or earlier.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality within restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or similar food service operations required.
  • Basic knowledge of profit and loss management, inventory control, and cash handling.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with peers, employees, clients, and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations.
  • Up-to-date on food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and marketing.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications.
  • Open to relocation for the right role or advancement opportunity.
  • Driver's License preferred but may be required for certain roles.
