At Chick-fil-A, Team Leaders are responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift leadership and ensuring that each restaurant guest has an outstanding experience. Team Leaders are responsible for supervising assigned stations for an entire shift and will be responsible to open or close the restaurant, following established opening and closing procedures. Team Leaders are responsible for leading their shift, which includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that our guests have a remarkable experience, holding team members accountable for maintaining standards, effective and positive communication, ownership of their entire shift, and counting/balancing cashier settlements. The role of a Team Leader is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to gain life experience that goes far beyond just serving a great product in a friendly environment. Team Leaders will support the Front of House team, assemble food and drink orders quickly and accurately, and ensure each guest leaves with a smile. A job at Chick-fil-A is a stepping-stone to a successful future in the world of business. Team Leaders must be eligible to work in the United States and have a source of reliable transportation. They should possess reading, writing, and basic math skills, along with effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills. The position requires the ability to work in a hot, noisy, and fast-paced environment, and candidates must be willing to work outside in varying weather conditions. Mobility, light lifting, and standing on feet for the entire shift, which can last up to 8 hours, are also required. Team Leaders must work well under pressure and be able to respond quickly and efficiently to changes or edits to orders. Candidates must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate, with previous leadership experience preferred. A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience is required, preferably in the food service industry, along with the ability to resolve conflict and provide outstanding customer service. Team Leaders must be able to open or close the restaurant at least two times a week and possess a servant leadership mentality. Bilingual (Spanish and English) skills are preferred, and candidates must be able to pass a background check. Proficient and confident cash handling skills are also required.
