About the position

The General Manager of Hospitality is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Market Street Grill, The Ivy, and The Franklin. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high-quality service and food, optimizing profits, and maintaining a safe and compliant environment. The General Manager collaborates with various departments to enhance patron satisfaction and drive business success.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of Market Street Grill, The Ivy, and The Franklin.
• Oversee staff management including selection, development, and performance management.
• Monitor service quality and food standards on the restaurant floor and in the kitchen.
• Optimize profits by managing costs and labor systems to meet financial objectives.
• Control inventory and monitor all purchases.
• Ensure patron satisfaction through evaluation and auditing of food and beverage services.
• Establish and enforce sanitation standards and comply with health regulations.
• Manage all areas of the POS system.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in the restaurant industry.
• Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, advertising, and menu design.

Requirements

• Preferred college degree in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in restaurant functions including food planning, preparation, and sanitation.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse staff.
• Ability to clearly communicate expectations and hold staff accountable.
• Self-discipline, initiative, and leadership ability.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable.
