About the position

The Hospitality & Guest Relations Manager at Convoy of Hope is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Guest Relations, ensuring effective communication and coordination for events, and providing support during these events. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a commitment to the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the daily operations of Guest Relations, including managing emails and tracking expenses.
  • Coordinates meetings and appointments, and communicates with vendors and suppliers regarding events.
  • Gathers information from clients about events and monitors the Event Ticket system.
  • Creates and manages the schedule of events, providing onsite support during events.
  • Cultivates strong relationships across working groups for cohesive event execution.
  • Works with the travel team to book travel for guests as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison for internal teams to ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborates with the Hospitality & Guest Relations Director to create procedures and documentation.
  • Serves as backup barista in the Hope Supply Co. Coffee Shop as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality and operates with integrity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of experience in event planning and management required.
  • Two or more years of experience in customer service required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
