About the position

The Hospitality Manager at LAZ Parking plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial, operational, safety, and service-related success of assigned hotels. This position is part of the LAZ Hospitality team, which is dedicated to fostering growth through operational and financial excellence. The Hospitality Manager will work closely with Regional Management to ensure that all aspects of hotel operations align with the company's standards and client expectations. This includes managing a team of Assistant Hospitality Managers, Supervisors, Shift Leads, and frontline staff, ensuring that they are trained and directed effectively to meet the company's goals. In this role, the Hospitality Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue, controlling expenses, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is achieved by maintaining high safety and service thresholds, as well as implementing initiatives that align with client expectations. The manager will also be involved in daily stand-up meetings, assisting with the management and development of the hotel team, and identifying high-potential employees for growth opportunities within the organization. The position requires a proactive approach to cultivating client relationships and ensuring business retention. The Hospitality Manager will also be responsible for financial management, including payroll processing, budget preparation, and compliance with audit protocols. The role demands a strong focus on service results, with the manager expected to monitor and respond to service metrics and reports to drive improvements and achieve established goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial, operational, safety, and service success at assigned hotel(s).
  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of Assistant Hospitality Managers, Supervisors, Shift Leads, and frontline staff.
  • Maximize revenue, control expenses, and ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high safety and service standards.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings and ensure LAZ internal meetings are held each shift.
  • Assist in the management and development of the hotel team to achieve annual goals and initiatives.
  • Identify high-potential employees for growth opportunities within the organization.
  • Participate in the recruiting and onboarding process for new employees.
  • Implement safety initiatives and address safety concerns promptly.
  • Drive service results by monitoring LAZ Service Shopper Reports and hotel internal service metrics.
  • Cultivate client relationships and ensure business retention.
  • Implement and complete projects and initiatives related to hotel operations.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements between LAZ Parking and clients.
  • Manage claims and safety-related training and prevention initiatives.
  • Ensure overall financial success, including audit compliance and payroll processing.
  • Prepare budgets and conduct monthly reviews of profit/loss for assigned hotels.
  • Monitor and analyze market rate structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired.
  • 1+ years of management experience required.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry (Parking, Restaurants, Hotels, etc.) is required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with high customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service skills and abilities.
  • Ability to handle employee conflict and mediate effectively.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
