This position is pivotal in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency, which are essential for the restaurant's success. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, from guest interactions to staff management and administrative tasks. The role requires a dynamic individual who can lead a team, manage various responsibilities, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. In this role, the Restaurant Manager will welcome, seat, and assist guests with a professional demeanor, ensuring that every guest feels valued and attended to. The manager will also be responsible for recruiting, training, evaluating, and scheduling restaurant personnel, which is vital for maintaining a high-performing team. Administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll management, and inventory control will also fall under the manager's purview. Regular inspections throughout the restaurant will be conducted to ensure that service standards are upheld, and any guest inquiries or special requests will be addressed promptly and effectively. The Restaurant Manager will implement and communicate new menu items and promotional events, providing guests with fresh and exciting dining options. Additionally, the manager will maintain a comprehensive record of guest preferences regarding food and beverage, which will help in personalizing the guest experience. The role also involves creating monthly and weekly forecasts, overseeing payroll for the department, and managing group bookings and special events. Participation in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings related to hotel and food & beverage operations is expected, along with updating and developing menus as necessary. Responsibilities

  • Welcome, seat, and assist guests with a professional demeanor.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and schedule restaurant personnel.
  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll management, and inventory control.
  • Conduct inspections throughout the restaurant to ensure service standards are upheld.
  • Address guest inquiries and coordinate special requests effectively.
  • Uphold the established guidelines and policies of the organization.
  • Implement and communicate new menu items and promotional events.
  • Provide assistance and information to guests in public areas as needed.
  • Offer leadership and support to all food and beverage staff.
  • Participate in all assigned meetings and training sessions.
  • Relay guest information and updates to relevant hotel colleagues promptly.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of guest preferences regarding food and beverage.
  • Create monthly and weekly forecasts.
  • Oversee payroll for the department.
  • Assign group bookings and special events to management staff.
  • Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings related to hotel and food & beverage operations.
  • Update and develop menus as necessary.
  • Revise departmental standards and procedures as required.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of daily reports.
  • Greet all guests, colleagues, and clients warmly and professionally.
  • Efficiently manage inquiries and reservations to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Encourage team commitment and a positive work environment.
  • Ensure team members adhere to company grooming standards.
  • Share insights, best practices, and challenges with the team, fostering collaborative decision-making.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by hotel management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a luxury hotel setting or a similar role in the restaurant or food and beverage industry.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • A positive, engaging, and energetic personality.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and extensive knowledge of service standards.
  • Proficient understanding of food preparation, wine, and spirits.
  • Culturally sensitive and aware of diverse customer needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policies.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Possession of TIPS and Food Handler's Certification.

Benefits

  • Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000.
