About the position

The Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing the front of the house operations at Golden Corral, ensuring a profitable and positive dining experience for guests. This role involves managing human, physical, and financial resources, training staff, maintaining service standards, and handling guest relations to foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Golden Corral operating standards for service times, facility maintenance, and equipment maintenance are achieved.
  • Meet Restaurant Operations Improvement Process (ROIP) standards in the front of the house.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies including the Code of Ethics.
  • Train and coach Crew Leaders and Crew Trainers on changes to front of the house operating standards.
  • Manage guest relations, achieving 100% table visits during every meal period and addressing guest complaints.
  • Maintain positive morale among front of the house staff and ensure a pleasurable dining experience for guests.
  • Manage line speed and ensure Co-workers are properly trained to meet operational standards.
  • Ensure all Co-workers are trained and certified through Golden Corral's training programs.
  • Schedule quarterly meetings with front of the house Co-workers.
  • Maintain accurate files for all restaurant Co-workers and perform disciplinary counseling as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and retain talented Co-workers in various positions.
  • Ensure adherence to service steps, recipes, and production guides in the Bakery.
  • Work with the General Manager to ensure coverage during days off.
  • Manage cash control procedures and ensure security protocols are followed.
  • Conduct thorough new Co-worker orientations and evaluations, submitting pay change recommendations timely.
  • Order and maintain uniforms and linens within budget guidelines.
  • Implement and communicate marketing programs and assist with community relations activities as needed.
  • Perform other necessary functions to ensure a pleasurable dining experience for guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant with a diversified menu.
  • Successful completion of the Golden Corral Hospitality Manager in Training program.
